Blog crossposting

I often cross-post at Twitter when I blog, and I don't use an automated service — I just do it manually. I'm grateful for people who tweet new blog posts; here's one from my friend Michelle Pacansky-Brock. [next]

Another nice habit is to announce important blog posts, the ones you really care about, a second time after a few days. You can use the ICYMI abbreviation: in case you missed it... I just learned that trick recently from Jennifer Ebbeler, who has published some fantastic posts about online course development at her blog: Teaching Without Pants.

If you do want to use an automated service, IFTTT makes it easy to post from a blog to Twitter automatically, along with all kinds of other automated magic. There are other automated services like this. Share your recommendations by using the #UOConference hashtag!
